Serves about 5
Ingredients
4 Tbsp [1/4 cup] Tahini
5 to 6 Tbsp fresh Lemon Juice- about 1 large lemon
1 to 2 cloves Garlic- minced- or ½ to 2 tsp of minced garlic
½ tsp Onion Powder
¼ tsp Cumin Powder
3 to 5 Tbs Water
1tsp low sodium Soy Sauce (or Morten’s Light Salt) to taste
½ tsp Red Pepper Sauce- for a touch of heat😊 [Optional]
1 to 2 tsp Sweetener [Agave, Maple, Molasses, or Honey]
Making Your Tahini Dressing:
- Place ingredients into a bowl.
- Whisk ingredients together until smooth texture
- Add a little more water and whisk to achieve a pourable dressing.
Note on liquid ingredients:
* If the tahini jar is taken from the refrigerator to use in the recipe, you may microwave the container for 15 or more seconds to soften before adding.
* Adding more water or lemon juice: Your goal is to make the dressing “pourable” from a spoon. If the dressing thickens while sitting or refrigeration just add a couple of teaspoons (tsp) of water and whisk again. Dr J
