CLEANING YOUR HOUSE

Removing the items from home that you will no longer include in your new nutritional adventure is essential. It may take you a couple of weeks, or it may come as an immediate and somewhat spontaneous act of joyous house cleansing😊!

If you live alone or with an “all in” spouse, this may be a decisive therapeutic gesture. You will feel relieved that you have made a conscious decision to embark on an exciting new path… for life!

If you have a spouse or children who are unconvinced, or they have a more nuanced “wait and see” attitude about this Whole Foods Plant Based (WFPB) idea that you have, this is understandable. Your conduct over the next few months will determine whether their interest will be stimulated. Don’t lecture them. Let them see what you are doing.

You are entitled to make rules. “I no longer will stock sugary desert items in the house.”, or “I will have meat, dairy and oils (or butter) for you as before, but, I will not be eating it, preparing it, or oil frying any foods.” The family will respect your clear and concise discussion about the path you are taking, and the cleansing, healthy, and uplifting approach you have decided to embrace.

The Cleaning
For those who are able, I recommend that you remove the following items from your home: white flower, white pasta, white bread, white rice, white sugar, brown sugar (colored refined sugar product), corn syrup (Caro), ice cream, cheese, milk, yogurt, fruit juice, animal flesh (beef, chicken, fish, and pork), all soda (high phosphate, and unhealthful “sugar substitutes”), eggs, and bottled oil (Canola, Olive, Corn, Sunflower, Rapeseed Oil, etc.)

These items may be given to family and friends outside of your home. Food Banks for the poor are available in your community to accept these items as a gift from you.
